Like Christopher Walken’s Severance character is “certain” he’ll remain with his colleagues “in spirit,” the actor is certain DVDs will stay in his life.

Walken, 81, recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live alongside co-executive producer Ben Stiller and castmates, including Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette, to discuss season 2 of the Apple TV+ series, which premiered on Jan. 17.

During the interview, host Andy Cohen asked Walken if he watches the episodes he’s in. “Not all of them. I can’t. I don’t have the equipment,” Walken admitted. “So, they’re good enough to send me DVDs.”

Cohen followed up, asking if Walken had an Apple TV+ subscription, to which the actor replied, “I don’t have anything.” The response amused the host, who said, “Right. You don’t. Okay. I love you for that.”

In Severance, which won 2 Emmys after being nominated in 14 categories during its debut season in 2022, Walken portrays Burt Goodman, a severed employee forced into retirement after forming a relationship with a colleague.

Behind the Scenes of Season 2

According to Stiller, season 2 took approximately 186 days to film, creating plenty of fun moments among the cast despite the show’s dark themes.

Stiller recalled a memorable wrap party held at a roller rink while filming episode four on location in the mountains, as well as the entire cast stepping outside to witness a solar eclipse while filming the finale.

Severance season 2 is now streaming on Apple TV+, with new episodes released every Friday leading up to the March 21 finale.
