Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson Visit Temple in India Ahead of Coldplay’s Concerts in the Country

Before lighting up the stage in India, Coldplay’s Chris Martin took time to explore Mumbai with his fiancée Dakota Johnson.

The 47-year-old musician and the 35-year-old actress were spotted at Mumbai’s Babulnath Temple, a revered Hindu site, participating in a traditional ceremony ahead of Coldplay’s concerts in India.

In a circulating video, Martin stands beside Johnson, engaging with temple visitors before noticing a camera and flashing a warm smile.

Another clip shows Johnson taking part in the Hindu ritual of whispering a wish into a Nandi bull statue, symbolizing her immersion in the local culture.

A fan who met Martin at the temple described the encounter as “unreal,” sharing that shaking hands with the singer and sharing a laugh was a magical moment they’ll never forget.

During their visit, Johnson was also seen visiting the Siddhivinayak Temple alongside Indian actress Sonali Bendre on January 18.

Meanwhile, Martin kicked off Coldplay’s first stadium concert in India at DY Patil Stadium the same day, with follow-up shows on January 19 and 21 as part of the band’s Music of the Spheres World Tour.

The band expressed their excitement on social media, saying, “We are so happy to be here in the City of Dreams for our first-ever stadium concert in India. We’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and the amazing fans. Tonight will be unforgettable!”

At the concert, Martin even recognized a fan from his temple visit, saying, “I remember you from the temple yesterday. I think I do,” before reflecting, “I visited some amazing places.”

Martin and Johnson have been romantically linked since late 2017, making their first public appearance at a Stella McCartney event in January 2018.

In March 2024, sources revealed that the couple has been engaged for several years, though they’re in no rush to tie the knot.

Amid breakup rumors last summer, a source close to the couple confirmed they were “happily together,” adding that while they’ve had ups and downs, they are stronger than ever.
