Dave Chappelle Returns to SNL with Another Controversial Monologue: Trump, the California Fires, Diddy and More

Dave Chappelle returned to Saturday Night Live, sharing his views on current events.

The comedian, 51, hosted the show for the fourth time on Jan. 18, delivering another monologue where he discussed topics like Donald Trump and the recent fires in California.

Addressing the fires, Chappelle quipped, “The other day on the news, they said these fires were the most expensive tragedy in U.S. history. But let’s be honest, it’s L.A.—they have nice stuff!”

Chappelle humorously reflected on fame, comparing it to storming the beaches of Normandy.

“A lot of my friends ask me, ‘Dave, did you know about those parties?'” Chappelle joked.

He later touched on Trump, urging him to “do better next time” and remember his humanity.

Chappelle is one appearance away from joining SNL’s Five-Timers Club, which includes stars like Will Ferrell and Tina Fey.

The comedian’s recent Netflix special, Dave Chappelle: The Dreamer, is currently nominated for a Grammy Award.
